Growing and Growing...

These boys are good eaters!

Nursing has been going great and I am so thankful that they nurse so well-and both at the same time :) Both boys went home from the hospital under 6 lbs. So we have had to take them to the dr. every week for a weigh in. We are all very impressed with their gain. The average baby should gain a half of an ounce per day. Our boys are doing well over that. We are so proud!

Weekly stats:

1 week old-Nixon 6 lbs.

Cooper 6 lbs. 5 oz.

2 weeks old-Nixon 6 lbs 13 oz.

Cooper 7 lbs. 5 oz.

3 weeks old-Nixon 7 lbs. 5 oz.

Well, the babies will be 2 weeks old tomorrow night. We are so in love with them and have had so much fun these last 2 weeks!

I LOVE not being pregnant. I LOVE fitting into all of my old clothes and having the energy to do things. It has been great!

I was a little nervous about the recovery for a c-section but honestly it has been amazing.

I had natural deliveries with Ashton and Weston and comparing natural vs. a c-section I really think I prefer the c-section-and my other deliveries were easy and great too!

We went into the hospital thinking that we were going the vaginal delivery route but right before the dr. broke my water, we did a quick ultrasound and Cooper had flipped into a breech position. So they prepped me for surgery and the twins were born about 20 minutes later.

Ashton and Weston have been great big brothers. They like to run to the babies at any and every sound that they make. They are good helpers and like to be involved with the dressings, diaper changes and baths. I am lucky to have them help me every day.

Nixon and Cooper are already changing. They are great babies and are already on a schedule. I am able to nurse them at the same time, so it really cuts down on the feeding times. I love having new babies in our house and it has really brought our family closer together.

Our hearts are full.

We celebrated Ashton's 5th birthday yesterday and it was busy and exciting.

We woke up and had his favorite waffles and whip cream breakfast then he, Alexa (my little sister), Weston and Tommy all headed off to Chuck E. Cheese for a morning full of game playing.

Grandma and Grandpa Bell, and Great Grandpa Bell A.K.A. white haired Grandpa came over for a yummy lunch.

My Mom (Mimi) and sister are here helping so they celebrated with us too. In fact, the cute dragon cake that you see was created by Mimi!

Ashton enjoyed opening his presents and was too excited to even eat his cake and ice cream.

It was a very fun day and we are so glad that so many people who love him were able to be here to celebrate.

Happy birthday Ashton bear. We love you!

Quick post from baby land...

Our sweet baby boys were born at 7:56 pm on Sunday, February 19th. We came home with them on Wednesday the 22nd just in time for big brother Ashton's birthday!

Nixon Sawyer Bell (Baby A) weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Cooper Hunt Bell (Baby B) weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21.5 inches long.

They came out kicking and crying and in perfect health.

We are so blessed that they never spent any time in the nicu or nursery-they roomed with us the whole time and we were in love with every second we spent with them.

Ashton and Weston are great big brothers. They couldn't be more excited!

WE MADE IT!!!

Hey everyone!

We went into the doctor today and he surprised us with a slip of paper and our induction date written on it...

Sunday February 19th!!!!

We were shocked, excited, happy, elated and can't wait to hold these babies in our arms!

Only 4 more days! I cannot believe it... WOW!!

Me and the babies were completely spoiled at our baby shower. The food was excellent, the company was awesome and the gifts were amazing!

My Mom surprised me the day of my shower. I had no idea she was coming and around 3:00 in the afternoon, there was a knock at my door and there she was! It was just what I needed. I was so, so happy that she was here and that she was coming to my shower that night.

I was so excited to see all of my friends and just have a night away.

"The Bell Cafe"

The boys decided to build a restaurant with some boxes that we had.

Ashton called it "The Bell Cafe". We printed out some food (pizza, cheeseburgers, jello etc.) and they decorated some menus and spent the morning playing.

I gave them some money and Ashton set up his computers so that he could take peoples orders. It was so fun to see their imaginations run wild.

Last week we went to some friends house and I asked Ashton what they played and he said "I taught them how to play "Bell Cafe" ha ha ha ha!!

****Yes I am still pregnant-thankfully so. Full term for any type of multiples is 38 weeks. We are 35 weeks going on 36 and would loooove to get as close to "full term" as possible. We don't want our little twinners to have to spend time in the nicu :)
