Where do you belong?

You Belong in London

A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique soul like you need a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well.

What City Do You Belong In?

I doubt that I'll ever live in London, but it would be great to visit. Seems a bit too dreary for me though... Where do you belong?

Mission accomplished

Mission: To plan, prepare and carry out Young Women in Excellence 2007.
Status:
Passed with flying colors (whew)!

As I mentioned before, I was called into Young Women's as the personal progress leader. One of my major projects was to be responsible for Young Women in Excellence. Our theme was "Things I've Learned" and was based around a school atmosphere. After much planning, preparing, cutting, printing, purchasing, gluing, baking, assembling, talk writing, late nights, phone calls, and don't let me forget fun, the night turned out amazing. I was so impressed and proud with all of the girls and their projects. It was a long day of setting up and taking down and a lot of effort and time was put into this night. I do have to say I'm a little glad to be done. I feel like I can breathe a little more, and enjoy not having that night on my mind 24/7. I am so thankful for this calling. It has helped me get to know so many great women in our ward (not to mention potential babysitters) and the girls are such good examples for me. I didn't get great pictures of the props we used but just think classroom.

Next Mission: New Beginnings January 2008.
Status: To be announced :)

Tag...your it!

I got tagged by Erin for my ten favorite reads so here ya go!

  1. Catch 22 by: Joseph Heller
  2. The notebook ( actually all books by Nicholas Sparks- WONDERFUL)
  3. The Eclipse series by: Stephanie Meyer ( I actually read these books a little out of order-2nd, 3rd then 1st and I still loved every minute of reading them. Each book only took me a couple days to read)
  4. The memory Keepers Daughter by: Kim Edwards
  5. The Kite Runner by: Khaled Hosseini ( I bought this book to read on a plane ride and left it in the seat pocket in front of me one flight. I had to get a new on a.s.a.p. so that I could finish)
  6. A million little Pieces by: James Frey
  7. My Friend Leonard by: James Frey
  8. the five people you meet in heaven by: Mitch Albom
  9. Any Chicken Soup for the Soul books
  10. Angels and Demons by: Dan Brown
I'll have to tag people later... Ashton' s calling.

Before...
And After
Ashton and I finally cleaned out all of his itty bitty baby clothes from his closets and drawers. It was kind of sad seeing how small he used to be, and realizing how big he's getting so quickly. Tommy teases that our next baby better be a boy so we can get good use out of the ridiculous amount of boy clothes we have. So for now they are in storage. Hopefully someday we'll get to bring them out again.

Random reasons I love my husband

  • Let's me take Sunday naps, without interruptions.
  • Will always ask if he can bring anything home for dinner, just in case I haven't/wanted to cook.
  • He calls everyday to make sure Ashton and I are having a great day.
  • 5. Will unload the silverware (my least favorite part) from the dishwasher.
  • 4. His great laugh- Everyone is always commenting on how contagious it is.
  • 3. His endless list of nicknames he has for Ashton and I. ( Bubbles, Bubby, Snuggler snoop, Petite princess, foof beene, etc.)
  • 2. He always hangs up his clothes and wet towels...ALWAYS!!!
  • 1. He knows when to randomly send me flowers and yummy chocolate, just because.
Thank you Tommy for being a great husband and dad. We love you ( and the flowers and chocolate)!

Man I'm cute!!!

Sometimes, between our walks and play dates with friends, Ashton and I like having photo shoot time. I love capturing fun pictures of the little guy, and we both have fun doing it. I usually end up laughing my head off because he likes to "cheese" it up for the camera. Man he is so dang cute!!

Lions, Candy eaters, and Bears- OH MY!

We couldn't quite decide which costume Ashton should dress up in for Halloween this year. Both are so dang cute, and he looked ferocious in both. Our original plan was to put him in one for trunk or treat and have him wear the other one on Halloween, but we skipped out on the trunk or treat this year because Ashton wasn't feeling too hot. I wasn't big on taking Ashton trick or treating this year. I think it's tacky to take a baby out who doesn't even know what's going on, and I figured he would have just as much fun handing out the candy in his costume. We had quite a few trick or treaters, and Ashton had a blast seeing all of the kids. I snapped a few fun pictures of him with some candy and pumpkins. I think the highlight was giving him tastes of some of the candy we had.
