Our Kindergartener :D

Saying bye to Weston-he will start school next week!

Walking with daddy to the bus

Waiting for Ashton to arrive home

The bus driver walking him across the street (greeted by Weston)

Look at that smile! I would say he had a wonderful day!

This is outside of the Kindergarten building. This is the day Ashton met his teacher.

WOW! Our Ashton has officially begun his school career. We couldn't be happier with the school he is going to and he already seems at home there. He hopped on the bus Monday morning with a huge smile on his face and never looked back.

This is what Ashton told us about his first day...

"I was the line leader today. I loved playing in the gym. I met a new friend named Lucas. Today there were 3 boys and 2 girls in my class. We played with the iPads and computers. I went to Japanese class and learned ohayou-that means good morning!"
(he goes to Japanese class everyday for an hour)

His class has a total of 12 kids. They split them the first 2 days of school so that the groups were smaller. There are 3 kindergarten classes (red, yellow and blue) and there are 4 embassy kids at the kindergarten so Ashton has some friends to ride the bus with. The kindergarten is across the street from the main campus at N.I.S., but they walk over for assemblies and P.E.
We are excited for Ashton to be in school, especially at Nishimachi. We think it will be a great foundation for his education.

What great pics! I love the one with Ashton and Daddy walking to the door. Ashton looks so happy and Weston too. I'm so glad that the boys are doing so well. Good luck Ashton and work hard but have lots of FUN too! Love Grandma and Grandma B.
