Almost officially clocked out!

Hawaii isn't until Monday, but we have pretty much officially started our vacation.
We pick up my sister first thing in the morning and I will have 2 days to get her prepped and ready for a week full of fun with the boys!
We cannot begin to talk about how excited we are for this trip.
We also found out today that we got upgraded to first class!
Hooray for that and for vacations!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Bell!
I have been a little under the weather the past few days, so this is catching everyone up on Westons 2nd birthday festivities.
Friday was his true birthday, so we celebrated with the pool, cupcakes and ice cream.
Saturday we filled the day with lots of fun activities, and made sure that Weston was having fun all day long!
We started out at Build a Bear (we took Ashton on his 2nd birthday) and let Weston choose an animal. He of course chose a puppy and a baseball uniform to dress it in.
After, we headed to the Corvette diner. It was a fun 50's style place with poodle skirts, old cars, burgers etc. The boys had a fun time and the food was good. As soon as we left we could tell they were getting tired, so we turned on a movie in the car and took a little drive. I love where we live. San Diego is so beautiful and is full of charming neighborhoods and streets full of cute houses. Tommy and I often take drives to plan where we will live someday. We drove for a while and the boys both got some good cat naps. When we got home we got ready for our guests, Great grandma and grandpa Bell. They were coming to help celebrate and eat some cake. I made a 3 layer ice cream cake that was DELICIOUS! The bottom layer was dark chocolate brownie, the middle was chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream and the top layer was yellow pudding cake. I topped it off with a dark chocolate frosting. YUMMMM
When Grandma and Grandpa arrived they had their famous balloons for the boys and a gift for Westie. We all enjoyed watching him open some presents and we were even able to Skype with Grandma and Grandpa Bell and Aunt Kim in Virginia.
All in all I think it was a successful birthday!

2 years ago today...

This little dude was born!
Weston Lucas Bell-our last little baby!
We have officially entered into a "no baby" stage at our house.
Weston continues to grow more and more into a toddler, and his "babiness" is almost gone.
We plan on celebrating all weekend and spoiling our Westie bear.
Happy Birthday little guy. We love you!

Um, Yeah.

So last night was like any other night until....
Wait, let me start from the beginning.
T and I had rented The Book of Eli this last weekend, but due to us both being sick resulting in early bedtimes all weekend, we didn't get it watched.
Last night I did an early workout so that we could start the movie at a decent time and get to bed earlier rather than later.
Both boys were in bed, or so we thought. Ashton was having trouble settling down and instead of fighting him to go to sleep, we let him watch a show on our bed (he usually falls asleep).
Well around 11:30 the movie finished and we were both tired. Little did we know that our sleep would have to wait because Ashton decided to lock us out of our bedroom.
It's not one of those wimpy locks that you can poke around in and open... it requires a key, one that we don't have.
Our kids have never been door lockers. We have always told them never to lock any door. And for the most part they have listened.
Normally, this little incident wouldn't have been an issue. Ashton is old enough to unlock doors and understand. But he was sound asleep. And when I say "sound" I mean it. Oh, and the tv was still on.
We banged and knocked and yelled and banged some more. At one point we even set off our fire detecters hoping it would startle him awake. But no, nothing.
We don't own a ladder (although that is on my list of things to do today) and at midnight we were reluctant to call and wake someone to help.
So I decided it was up to me to somehow get up on the roof.
Tommy would have done it but with nothing to "hoist" him up, he had to be the "hoister".
So we climbed on the fence that you see on the left of the second picture then Tommy lifted me up with one arm while balancing himself with his other.
I carefully crawled on my stomach to the window (it was steeper than I thought and those roof tiles are slippery and there was literally NOTHING to hold onto).
Thank goodness the window was unlocked and easy to open.
By the time I crawled through I was a little shaky and not so tired anymore.
Let's just say climbing around on the roof wasn't in my plans for the night.
Ashton was fine, resting peacefully (a little too peacefully) on our bed.

This is where we spend most of our time

The Pool!

With friend, just me and the boys, or right when daddy gets home from work this is where you will find us.
We usually take 2 trips a day there.
On this particular day we were at a friends pool for a party!
The boys are water babies, and are great swimmers!

Awesome trip!

Tommy sent me on a "no kid trip" this last week, and I had an amazing time.
My youngest sister Alexa was getting baptized, so I took the opportunity to stretch my trip into 4 days and 5 nights of non-stop fun!
I missed all 3 of my boys so much, but it was such a great getaway.

Oldest sister, youngest sister. We are almost 18 years apart

Arrived late, at 12:30 A.M. Friday
Friday my sis and I ventured to the gym for an advanced core aerobics class. Let's just say that we were definitely feelin' it the next day.
You can't go to Provo without taking a trip to the B.Y.U. bookstore. I was able to get a few things for T and the boys. After our campus stop we headed to the one and only COSTA VIDA!
I was soooo looking forward to this lunch. They don't have that restaurant in California, and after living in Colorado for 2 years and them being everywhere there, I had a big time craving for it. It had been over a year since I had eaten there. YUM-O!
After lunch we headed to Lehi to spend the rest of the day with family there. I am so thankful that I got to visit my grandpa.
After his house we headed down the street to my aunt Judy's house. I got to see my cousins Lacey, Shaylee and Tyson (and Tyson's cute puppy, Jeter).
We had so much fun visiting the whole afternoon. We laughed and shared stories and had a yummy Olive Garden dinner. I always love seeing my "Lehi family". I love them so much and enjoy every minute I'm with them!
On our way back to my sisters apartment that night, we stopped to get some ice cream.
Let's just say we laughed and talked too late-around 1:45. That would have been fine on any other Friday night, but we had made a plan to get up and leave Provo by 4:00 A.M. so that we could be in Wyoming by 7 to take my dad to breakfast.
At 3:30 our alarm clocks went off, and after a redbull, blasting tons of music and singing at the top of our lungs, we made it to our destination. We literally pulled into Ihop at 7:00 on the dot!
Breakfast was great and it was good catching up with our dad.
Then we headed to the gym for a quick workout, then home to see everyone.
My other sister Sharielle, my brother Jameson and I were able to go to the matinee of Eclipse Saturday afternoon. We looooved it! So fun!
After the movie, I was able to go with my dad to buy fireworks and run some errands for the next day.
Saturday night was full of us watching crazy/silly YOUTUBE videos all night. We always seem to do that when we are together.
Sunday was the baptism and church (and of course the 4th of July).
Shantel, Sharielle and I were asked by Alexa to sing at her baptism and it went so well.
The baptism was so nice and Alexa looked so beautiful! Congrats Alexa!
After the baptism everyone came back to our house for a big bbq, and more visiting with friends and family.
We then drove over to the nearby elementary school where we enjoyed fireworks, and did a few of our own.
After most cleared out my siblings and I played Wii and watched a movie.
Monday morning we hauled tables and chairs back to the church (leftover from the baptism) then went on a small hike/walk all together.
It was soon time to head back to Utah because my flight left Tuesday morning at 6.
When I got to San Diego, my plane arrived in the commuter terminal because it was a small plane.
I walked off of the plane and across the tarmac and as the doors opened I saw my 3 boys waiting for me with a "welcome home" sign!
I was so happy to be home, and had a wonderful, wonderful trip!
