Kyoto, Japan

We took a day trip to Kyoto with Ashton and Weston. The shinkansen (bullet train) got us there quickly and we were in Kyoto by 9:30. It was rainy when we first arrived, but cleared up to just overcast skies in the afternoon. We saw everything we had wanted and even made it to a top rated ramen shop for lunch!

The twins were at home with our nanny, but with all the walking and travel time we thought they were a little young for this trip. 

It was a very beautiful time of year to go as all the leaves were so colorful and vibrant. Ashton was really into taking pictures and he snapped some good ones. 

The day trip was definitely tiring, but very doable. We are glad to check Kyoto off our Japan checklist :)
