Our "beach" day

We didn't really go near the sand or the water,
but the beach was within reach.
The boys played at the park and hung out with some puppies.
They enjoyed running, climbing and exploring.
It was grandma Bell's last day here, and we are glad we got a chance to enjoy some good weather.
It was an excellent day!

Look at me, I am 3!!!

Ashton is officially 3 today!
Hooray for birthdays!
We have been celebrating all weekend, and it has been great!
One of his main gifts was a bike, and we can't wait to use it.
Today we went out for lunch and then headed to Del Mar to hang out at the beach and play at the park.
We can't believe that our little boy is this old. Where did the time go?
He is such a joy to our family, and we love him so much!
Happy birthday Ashty Bear!

Ashton is almost 3!

3 years old-WOW!!!
Getting party favors ready
Helping bake cupcakes. Yummy!
Green everything!
Making visors
Weston hugging himself
Delicious!
Obviously very scrumptious for Westie!
Opening gifts
Grandma enjoying our birthday breakfast feast!
More gifts!

Go Green! (but we still love blue and white)
So excited!

Ashton was born almost 3 years ago.
His birthday is technically on Monday, but we had his friend party today.
Ashton had 2 requests for his birthday.
Green and breakfast(waffles, pancakes, syrup, whip cream etc.)
So, that's what we did.
We had a big yummy breakfast with some of his friends, and decorated the house in GREEN!
He had so much fun with everyone, and loved his party.
Grandma Bell flew in last night so that was extra great.
Thank you everyone for helping us celebrate today!
We will do our family party soon, and have more pictures of the fun!

Who did it?

Shattered glass
One light bulb missing
Where the truck was thrown over and into the chandelier
not-guilty
GUILTY!!

I was literally standing right next to the table the second this happened.
I heard a large crash and luckily was able to turn away just in time.
Glass had exploded everywhere. Little tiny shards on the table and carpet.
When I finally figured out what had happened, I thanked my lucky stars that my eyes were saved.
I don't know how, but I guess my guardian angel was looking out.
Weston decided to throw his blue truck (in picutre) from the "catwalk" that we have above our dining room.
Wow...
The truck flew right into the chandelier and only broke one of the 6 light bulbs, but landed with such force that glass flew everywhere.
We are all ok, and glad it wasn't worse.

Valentines day

My gifts from Tommy were big and I was spoiled.
My gift to Tommy was "tiny" and fit into a small pink bag.
He was spoiled too :)

T.M.I.? I think not. We have a very healthy marriage!

Hideaway

The boys were asking for a snack this morning, so I set out a few vegi-straws on the counter and told Ashton to have at it. I was checking my email and kept hearing him run to the snack and then scurry away quickly. Upon further investigation, I realized that he was retrieving "supplies" for the hideaway behind the couch. Ashton was making sure to bring enough back to Weston so he wasn't missing out.

***On another note, this morning after I got finished vacuuming, Ashton said "Mom, don't ever vacuum up our toys. Do you understand me?"
Another great quote. I guess he really does "understand" when Tommy and I finish a lecture with "do you understand?" ha ha

Out of the mouth of babes!

Me: "I'm glad you guys are having so much fun and playing so well together. But we need to remember to play carefully and nicely so that no one gets hurt. If we get hurt or are mean, then we have to stop playing because we will be sad and owie.

Ashton: "And that's why we have bandaids. So we can put them on and keep playing!"
