Steve Nash recently had an interview where he was asked why he was doing extremely great this year. He already is an awesome basketball player, but he is definitely not in his "20's" anymore. He simply replied that he had cut all sugar from his diet, and now feels like he is in the best shape of his life. His energy levels have soared, he feels great, and plays amazing.
I have been thinking a lot about that interview, and can only imagine what cutting sugar out of your diet can do. I think I am up for the challenge. I already work out religiously, I eat meals pretty healthily, but I do have a sweet tooth. I think being more conscious of what I'm putting in my body will do wonders for my energy levels. And let's face it, with 2 little boys that constantly keep me on my feet, I could use the extra help.
So I am publicly saying a semi- goodbye to brownies, cakes, ice cream, candy, cookies etc.
I say "semi-goodbye" because I know there will be times when I'll eat something sugary.
But here is to trying.
