4 months old

Here is an update on Ashton's 4 month progress. He had an appointment this week and it went great!(minus the 3 shots he had to get). Everyone told us what a beautiful baby he was, and how he was so content and well behaved. He performed well for the Dr. with his babbling and other tricks. At 14 lbs. and 14 ounces he came in at the 51st percentile for his weight, and at 26 inches tall he came in at the 90th percentile for height! We were so proud. Unfortunately the next day and a half were rough for the little guy. I think his legs were pretty sore because kicking is one of his favorite things to do, but not since the shots. He woke up this morning smiling and so happy so we think he is finally back to his old self. What an awsome little dude!

Happy Father's Day Tommy!

This was a great day-Tommy's first Father's Day. We had a good dinner including some yummy steaks grilled by Tommy and Ashton. Tommy is such a great dad, and Ashton and I love him tons! He does so much and works so hard for our family, and we are very grateful. As you can see today really pooped Ashton out, and he enjoyed a nice long nap on "daddy's" chest. Happy first Father's Day Tommy! We love you!

Ashton at the park

These are pictures of Ashton and Tommy at the park near our house. It is right next to the beautiful golf course and is just a short walk from home. I love walking to this park almost daily with Ashton, and we were glad when "daddy" was able to join us this weekend. We definitely enjoyed the weather and the view.

Without further adu...GRASS

Many of you have been to our house and seen it without a front yard...or at least a front yard made of dirt. Well here it is for your viewing pleasure, pictures of our front yard! It's so nice to come home to colorful grass instead of a dirt/mud pile. Our builder has been promising us grass for a while, but due to unfortunate weather, and other "excuses" we only just got it put in about a week and a half ago. Stay tuned for our next project-the backyard!!

Growin' up!

Well at exactly 3 months and 2 weeks old, and at 10:00 p.m., Ashton "officially" rolled over. I say official because while he has done it before, it wasn't anything like this. I had laid him down on a blanket on our family room floor, and preceded to get a drink from the kitchen. I noticed though before I left that he had rolled completely on his side and was still trying to go further. After just a few short minutes, he had managed to get to his tummy, then back to his back. I immediately got the video camera out, and unfortunately only was able to get him rolling onto his side. He was trying so hard to do it, but that dang arm that was underneath him just wasn't cooperating. I was so impressed by his latest achievement that I decided to start giving him baby cereal at night. The pictures above are of his first time eating it, and he actually kind of liked it. Believe it or not he did get some in his mouth! :)

Our diet plan

This is just a few examples of what Tommy and I have been eating for the past little while. We both set goals to lose weight together for our upcoming trip to sunny California-and I must say it's working. Between Tommy's basketball and softball leagues, and my many walks with Ashton to the Park and workouts on our new elliptical, we are getting closer and closer to our goals. I am proud to say that I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant with Ashton!! We have cheated a few times, but we just keep telling ourselves that the better we do now, the worse we can do in California! Wish us luck!

Ashton's Blessing Day

This is a beautiful picture of everyone who was able to attend Ashton's Blessing. It was such a wonderful day, and Tommy gave an amazing blessing. We were fortunate to have Tommy's cousin Kristie, who is a great photographer, take pictures of the day. So many people drove and flew here to Denver to be here for Ashton. It was great seeing everyone and showing them our home here in Colorado. Thanks to everyone who came to support our family for Ashton's blessing. We love you all!
