Karaoke

I LOVE karaoke. Always have and always will. Me and my sisters got karaoke machines and sing along tracks for Christmas and we loved them:)

So, of course being in Japan where there are literally karaoke joints on every street has been great.

This particular night we went to an awesome restaurant called Luxis and enjoyed the aquarium built into the place. Afterwards we headed right next door to Big Echo Karaoke and sang our hearts out for 3 hours straight :)

On another night, we found the exact karaoke joint that they used in the movie 'Lost in Translation'. The place that Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson go with their new Japanese friends. It was so cool to karaoke in the same place!

Ashton's last day of first grade :)

Ashton has worked so hard this year :) He is a great student and really enjoys reading. And now he can read japanese!! 

It has been a full year and we are happy with his progress!

Weston graduates

 Weston is has officially graduated Mitsui Garden's International preschool!

He has been there for 2 years and has made so many friends and memories.

Graduation was great, and I'm so glad that I was able to be Weston's room mom this year. 

The week leading up to the event was full of lot's of projects, phone calls (phone calls to friends to help me with japanese questions), ordering food, sending many emails and of course reflecting on the school year and wondering how it went by so fast.

Weston did great at graduation, even memorized a poem and said it in front of all of his peers and graduation guests. The poem was….

Here are my hands with ten fingers in all,

My first mark in school to hang on the wall!

As years go by, I'll remember and say,

My hands and I had a very good day!
