For those of you who know me well, you know of my "family" situation. When I was almost 14 months old, my mom Sharlene Hunt died suddenly of unknown causes at age 25, leaving me and my young dad, her 6 brothers and 3 sisters and of course her parents. I have been blessed to have good parents who have always taken the time to keep the relationship with that side of the family always open. When my mom died, relationships with my Hunt family didn't end-yes due to distance among other things I haven't seen them as much as I would like. But I have always cherished the times I do see them, and the talks and memories we make when we are together. That being said, this weekend was a very special one for me. My cousin Tyson and his beautiful bride Lohren were married in the Salt Lake City temple. I was able to fly out and witness that, and see all of my family. Tyson is my Aunt Judy's son, and Judy is my mom Shar's sister. I am the exact age now that Shar was when she was taken from us. You can only imagine how hard it is for my dad, grandpa, aunts and uncles to see me. I look so much like my mom that they often tell me it's like seeing a ghost. But it is also so special because it's like getting bits and pieces of my mom through all of them. The temple was especially great because it reminded me that families are forever, and that we would all see Shar (and my grandma that recently passed) again and be reunited! We were all overwhelmed with tears.

On a different note, Tyson and Lohrens wedding was amazing. Lohren is a beautiful, sweet, glowing person and I was so glad I got to meet her. I am excited for them and their new journey. In between the temple and reception I was able to go to lunch with my mom, and sisters at Cheesecake Factory. Later that night we headed to the reception, enjoyed great food, and visited with more family.

What a great weekend, and all without my boys! Tommy and the two little rugrats had a boys weekend and did great! I was so excited to come home to my house, boys, and of course beautiful California! Thank you everyone who helped get me to and from the airport, and shuttled me around.

Shayna- what a sweet post! It is hard to understand why things happen, but I am so grateful that you are in my family! I feel like we were almost sisters sometimes since you were closer to my age than any of my other sisters! I am sure your mom (Shar) is looking down and so proud of the amazing mom/person that you are! It is such a blessing that we have the knowledge of forever families! Can't wait to see you in a few days! Love ya!
