Sunday best

We always mean to take a family picture after we get home from church on Sundays. Everyone is dressed nicely and we don't have anywhere to rush off to once we get home-but we usually forget. Before we know it we are home, changed into comfy clothes and the picture is long forgotten. I was determined to get one this week and it was a success. Other than Ashton's wet shirt from playing in the rain, I think it turned out rather nice.
Hopefully we can make this into more of a Sunday routine :)

British Football Academy

The boys started soccer with the British Football Academy and have really enjoyed it so far.
They are really learning the fundamentals of soccer and also scrimmaging.
I have enjoyed watching their practices and visiting with friends. A lot of the moms from our ward here have kids in Ashton's class, so it's nice to see them.
Their coaches/teachers are really great and are really silly with the kids.

Soccer goes through December and then I think we will sign up (me included!!) for Karate.
-I don't think you can live in Japan and not study Karate-

Playroom and Nixons new trick

We got our HHE (boat shipment) this last week and have been getting settled again.
The movers and unpackers did a great job, but there was still work to be done to get everything just right.
The first room I wanted to work on was the boys' playroom. Finally by Friday it was ready, so Ashton had his friends over after school. All the boys enjoyed the "new" toys (the boys haven't seen these toys since the beginning of June) and they had a great time.

On another note, Nixon has become quite the yogee.
Though the babies have been crawling for the past month, Nixon decided that it wasn't enough.
For the last couple of weeks we have found him doing a downward dog position and push-up position.
It is actually quite funny and amazing that he can do it.
Both babies have their two bottom teeth, and Nixon decided to start saying Mama this last week (Cooper decided to say Mama last night).
We can't believe how big they are getting!

Weston starts school!

Weston has been looking forward to starting preschool all summer. His first week was a success and he is excited to tell us everything he did when he gets home. He goes everyday from 8:15-3:00 and has enjoyed meeting new friends and teachers.
His classroom size is 12 students and 3 teachers. So far he talks the most about "Mr. Kevin."

The boys also started soccer last week. I really enjoying having kids at so many different ages and seeing their different personalities and interests come out.
So far this year we have learned that Weston can go non-stop and still have energy.
Ashton needs a little time to recoup after school (usually with his iPad) then he is ready to go again.
The other night Tom and I went to Ashton's school for another orientation and when we got home, Virginia told us the boys had both fallen asleep (in their beds) at 7:14. So school and all the other activities that have started is definitely wearing them out!
