Summer days 2010... so far

Summer has been treating us very well.

We have been enjoying friends, parks, lots of Sea World and of course the BEACH!

Sea World has been a great outing for the boys and I. The new dolphin show 'Blue Horizons' is so fun. We make a stop at the star fish ride (equivalent to the teacup ride at Disneyland) on our way out of the park, and always end up riding it over and over again.

The boys are at such a great age. They both stay entertained and engaged in all our activities.

We took a picnic to the beach last week and ended up staying all afternoon.

I am loving this stage of our lives where we have "older" kids and can enjoy our activities.

I look forward to hanging out with these little guys!

Our weekend was definitely a full one.

Not only was it Fathers day, but it was the release of Toy Story 3.

We have been waiting for this movie for a while.

We all went on Saturday morning and enjoyed popcorn, drinks and the show.

The boys loved it and did wonderful at the theater.

After lunch and naps Ashton and daddy left to go to the Padres baseball game.

Weston and I did some last minute grocery shopping for our Fathers Day dinner.

Sunday was spent at church and with our special Dad.

We love weekends!

Drum roll please

We have heard everything from "is # 3 on the way?" to "are you moving?"

That would be a big fat NO on the baby (I/we really wouldn't consider that fun and exciting news ) and we are Californians for another 2 years, so that's a no to both.

I guess maybe the news is only fun and exciting to us, because it's a vacation for us.

One week in Hawaii.

No kids.

Just us.

In 7 weeks.

This was a surprise gift from Tommy, and I had no idea.

beach bums

We have been enjoying "summer" for a few months now.

The weather here in San Diego keeps getting better and better. We have been going to the beach every weekend, and love it.

Ashton will stay out in the water almost the whole time. Weston is more of a sand lover, and will watch the waves.

Last weekend Ashton tried surfing for the first time. He really likes the boogie boards, but wasn't too sure about the surf board.

We can't wait until August when the water is nice and warm.

A great dinner for summertime!

Fresh tilapia cooked in almond oil.

Fresh strawberries, avocados, corn and black beans.

Finish with fresh lime juice.
