Puppy love

*
My boys (especially Weston) loves puppies.
Even if the dog is a huge 100 lb. lab, it's still a puppy to them.
We took a trip to a puppy store today, and they loved it. The dogs were so cute and playful, especially the beagle in the picture.
They also had some very cute and extremely tiny teacup yorkies.
It was a fun outing and the boys were in heaven!

Brothers share EVERYTHING

***Ashton is fighting off a cough........

Thanks to kisses like these,
Weston probably will be too!

***This is probably the best week to get sick and try to take it easy. It has been cold, rainy and windy so it's been easy to stay inside. Hoping to be better and host play group here on Friday. Fingers crossed :)

Grandpas visit

Of course we forgot our camera when we were out and about with Grandpa this weekend. This picture was taken Sunday night just before he headed off to the airport. We had fun going to the beach, running around in the sand, eating at In-N-Out, and playing with Grandpa Bell. The boys loved having him here, and wanted to climb all over him the whole time!
Thanks for the visit! We had a great time!

We like (most) Sundays

I took this picture on Sunday night, right before we were settling down for a family movie.
Sundays are usually crazy for us.
Last year church was at 9, and in some aspects that was great.
We were able to go and be home for lunch and naps...
But getting a 2 year old and one year old up, and bathed and fed and dressed was also a challenge.
Now church is at 11, and we enjoy this time.

Last Sunday was special though.
Not only did Tommy and I speak in Sacrament, but Weston also started nursery.
Those of you with kids know how BIG this is.
Our talks went extremely well, considering each of us had to take turns with the kids alone for about 20 minutes each. That doesn't sound like much, but it's stressful.
As soon as sacrament was over, we took both boys to class and RAN-literally.
Weston technically shouldn't go to nursery for a few more weeks, but our ward is great and welcomed him early.
Sunday was the first time in 3 YEARS that Tommy and I have been to sunday school together(without a kid or 2).
Our regular routine was to either take turns with kids between callings and teaching, or trading weekly with the kid(s).
I can't tell you how nice it was to go and sit and listen and be together with Tommy.
We were so relaxed and unstressed.
Now instead of chasing/wrestling kids all 3 hours, we just have to make it through the first hour.
How nice :)

Playing with our food

We eat a lot of turkey at our house.
Our favorite is the Kirkland brand from Costco.
Ashton likes to bite his into shapes and such.
On this particular day he made a fish. The top fin is bent backwards, but it's pretty good.
At our house we play with our food!

Friends are great, but brothers are better!

We met Teylor, Tessa and Paige at the park yesterday.
Smith was there too-he's a big dog.
He use to be a service dog so he is great with kids!
Weston didn't know if he should laugh or cry when Smith gave him a big doggie kiss across the face :)
Especially because he is about a foot taller then Weston!
The kids dug in the warm sand and made sure to get sand in every inch of their clothes, hair and shoes! But it's not fun any other way!

The boys had lots of fun just playing together too. Weston follows Ashton around and can really keep up.
In fact they were playing so well together and managing to keep themselves entertained that I wished I would have brought my Kindle with me to catch a few chapters in my book-
next time!

It's all worth it

It has been an exhausting day.

Between running errands, calling preschools, then calling moms about information on preschools we are all tired.

We almost lost Westons shoe twice today at Trader Joe's.

There was a near breakdown at Sports Authority because we didn't leave with a ball.

And don't even get me started on Costco.

But you know what? I couldn't have asked for a better day.

I truly love being a S.A.H.M.

It's my job.

I am so grateful that I have a husband who can comfortably support us so that I can raise our kids during the day.

There will be plenty of years to come where I can go back to work.

My days don't begin until me and my boys have shared a bowl of Cheerios and watched G.M.A. snuggled up in blankets on the floor.

I do puzzles, play trains and cars, and improve my ability to color in the lines every afternoon.

I can't have a successful day until I've given 10,000+ kisses and said "I love you" more times then I can count.

No, I don't dress up and go into the office anymore.

I don't have meetings or work dinners.

I don't even bring home any money.

My paychecks are seeing Ashton and Weston learn something new.

I'm paid in smiles, hugs and snuggles.

Seeing them sleeping soundly and knowing that I get to get up with them tomorrow

and do it again.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am fulfilled because I am a mom.

I am accomplished because I am a mom.

I love my job
