Photo shoot morning

Me and the boys had such a fun morning doing a just for fun "photo shoot" with my good friend. With 4 boys running/rolling around it got a little crazy...a fun sorta crazy though. We both have the same camera so we had a good time finding props and backgrounds, and just playing around with our cameras. We had so many ideas, but not enough time/attention spans for the kids to accomplish our list. We got some great pictures though, and had such an awesome time too!

Mirror, mirror on the wall...

Weston loves the mirror...
Especially the one on his bouncy chair.

You "Can Count" on Ashton

"One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, ten... eight, nine, ten...eight, nine, ten". That's what I heard coming from the kitchen a few days ago when I was organizing some drawers. I rounded the corner to find ALL of my cans of food lined up across the cupboard, and Ashton was counting them as he was going along. He can only count to ten, and especially likes saying eight, nine and ten over and over. This little activity kept him entertained for a while (and I only have a few dents in my hardwood floors from falling cans).

Weston-6 months old.

Our little Weston, A.K.A. Weston bear, Westie or Westerly is 6 months old today. I cannot believe it. Time has truly flown by. He absolutely adores Ashton, and we can tell he wants to run around and play with him already. He is our sweet little boy and it has been so fun watching him these past few months!

The equation for the perfect day.

warm afternoons + walks to the park = 2 happy little boys, and one happy mommy!

disclamer- Ashton was a little disappointed that he didn't have "spikes" in his hair today...I told him you wouldn't mind. (more pictures with "spikes" to come).

New Camera

So my wonderful husband bought me a new Nikon SLR camera this weekend, and I love it (thanks Misty for the recommendation!!! Can't wait to share tips!). Weston was my first test subject, and here are a few shots. I have been playing with it so much, and am slowly learning only a small bit of what goes into photography. Equipped with the learners manual, I have been chasing the kids around the house shooting tons of pictures. I am so excited to have this nice camera to get some great pictures of our family, and all of our adventures. Thanks babe for such a great gift---I owe ya ;)

Christmas 2008!

Our Christmas morning the Sunday before leaving
Daddy and Ashton setting up his new train table and set

Katie, Grandma and Weston

Kimmie helping Ashton open his presents on Christmas morning

Grandpa trying out Ashtons new guitar

Weston loved his new bouncy chair that Grandma got him

Ashton enjoying some "dip dip" at California Tortilla (holla Kim...woot woot!)

Uncle Jeff and Ashton. Ashton had a special connection with Jeff. Every morning when he would see him he would say "hi Jeff" and he loved giving him big hugs. He was so sad to see him go. About an hour after he left for the airport Ashton was asking for "Jeff".

Me and Weston checking out the Airplanes. We spent a morning with Grandpa, Grandma, Jeff and Katie at the Air and Space museum.
Ashton of course was in heaven. There were so many planes. He couldn't figure out why he couldn't go under the guard rails to touch them. Luckily they had a souveneer shop for him to get his very own airplane.
Weston on Christmas morning just hanging out in his jammies, and playing with his toys.

Daddy and Ashton Christmas morning

We were so blessed to be able to spend Christmas and New Years in Virginia with Tommys family. Our week was spent relaxing, visiting, playing basketball and ultimate football, playing guitar hero and other Wii games, watching movies, watching football, and of course just being with those we love. It was so fun to see everyone play and hang out with Ashton and Weston, and they too loved the attention. We were also able to take some great family pictures while we were there. Despite the airlines losing our luggage for a little over a day, and Westons car seat for 4 days, we had a nice, stress free vacation.
Thank you for letting us come and visit and for everything you did to make our stay so comfortable. We miss you guys, and look forward to the next family gathering!
