New Backyard

Getting Dry

Enjoying some shade

Ashton sees a plane

We finally got our backyard landscaped, and Ashton has really enjoyed it. We haven't gotten a chance to use it much yet because Weston was born only a few days after they finished. It was extremely hot today so we turned on the sprinklers for Alexa and Ashton and enjoyed the sun. Weston and I enjoyed the shade.

Ashton's Big Brother Shirt

Well it's almost been a week with sweet Weston, and things are going great. I am feeling so good, and it's been fun adjusting to life with 2 kids. Tommy and I still can't believe that we have 2, and our family seems so complete. Weston is a great baby. He already seems to be on his own schedule at night and it's been amazing. I can actually function during the days. Ashton is so so sweet with him and can't walk by without giving him a "mwah" (kiss). He loves to hold him and stare at him and point at his eyes and nose. Any little sound that Weston makes Ashton giggles at and goes to find where it's coming from. We are truly blessed to have this new baby with our family now, and he is so lucky to have such a great big brother.

Funny video

We got the boys' stroller last week, and Ashton couldn't wait for us to set it up so that he could go for a ride. I caught this video of him as we were getting it put together.

Wildlife children's museum

Last week we were able to spend the afternoon at the wildlife children's museum. Ashton and Alexa had so much fun exploring, dressing up, coloring and playing. They were both exhausted by the end of the day and so were my mom and I. It has been so hot here that it was nice to find something fun to do indoors where we were nice and cool.

Weston's Baby Shower :)

These are a few pics from my baby shower. It was so fun to have my mom here for this one (Ashton's shower last year was in D.C.) and it was a great party. Thanks to Jen and everyone who helped out. The food was so yummy and it was nice to get out and enjoy visiting with friends. Weston got a lot of cute and fun things, and I'm excited to use them.

Tommy and I had a fun 4th of July this year. We started our celebrations off with attending our ward picnic and just enjoying being with friends. Since we didn't have Ashton we wanted to do something we wouldn't have been able to do so we took the light rail downtown to the Rockies game and enjoyed dinner, baseball and some fireworks. The game was extremely long, but the Rockies won in the bottom of the 9th, 18 to 17. It was a great game, but we were very tired by the end. Being 9 months pregnant didn't really help too much either. We were glad that we went though and had a great time just being together. Ashton of course was having a blast too with my family, but fell asleep before the fireworks even started.

What has Ashton been up to...

EVERYTHING!

Ashton has been having a b
last staying with my family. Playtime is non-stop, and so is the attention. They left yesterday to go to a family reunion in Utah, and he is lovin' life. I'm afraid that he won't want to come back to us.
Tommy and I have been having a great time too. Las
t night I felt pretty good, so we decided to do dinner, a movie and went miniature golfing. It was such a fun time. I was definitely feeling worn out by the end of the night, but it was well worth it. Here are a few pics of our crazy boy and some of his adventures. Happy 4th of July!!!

Golf!

Tommy and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of golf yesterday. The weather was great (except the 5 minutes of rain showers) and we had a good time together. I mainly rode around in the golf cart and putted, but that was fine with me. Ashton is having such a fun time in Wyoming with my family. We talked (or tried to talk) to him last night before he went to bed, and he just wanted to run off and play.
We went to the Dr. this morning and Weston is looking great. Everything is progressing as it should be and my dr. is pleased with things thus far. She said that he could come at any time, but they are going to induce me on the 24th if he hasn't come by then. So 3 weeks from tomorrow Ashton will have his new baby brother. We are so EXCITED!!!

We only have a few more weeks until Weston's arrival. My Mom and 2 of my sisters came for a visit on Thursday to help me out with Ashton and the list of baby stuff I needed to finish. Ashton had such a great time playing with everyone, and really enjoyed the company. They left to go back to Wyoming yesterday with Ashton for a week so that he can go to a family reunion in Utah. We stopped and met Tommy for lunch before they headed out so that he could say goodbye to Ashton. It's been so weird having him gone, and I hardly know what to do with myself. It's nice to relax and Tommy and I have dates planned for every night this week. We enjoyed dinner and a movie last night, lunch together today, and as long as it doesn't start raining we plan on going golfing here in the next few hours (I plan on sitting in the golf cart and maybe putting a little bit). We miss our little guy but are enjoying time together just the two of us before it gets hectic with a 17 month old and newborn.
