4 year anniversary

Tommy and I were able to celebrate our 4 year anniversary this weekend. We got Ashton a babysitter, and enjoyed a fun night out with just the two of us. We decided on doing dinner and a movie since we haven't done that in so long. Dinner was amazing at Morton's the Steak House. We went all out and got appetizers, salad, soup, and even dessert. It was seriously the best dinner I have ever had.

Tommy took the day off of work on Monday so that we could have an extended weekend. The weather was so nice. We were able to go to the outlet mall, and then to the park near our house with Ashton. He found some kids to run around with and was trying so hard to talk to them. Unfortunately we couldn't stay too long because it was so hot out, but we enjoyed the time that we had.

Attention all moms!!!

With this babies arrival quickly approaching (in 3 months if on time, 2 months if he comes early like Ashton did) Tommy and I are busy getting everything in order. For the most part we already have everything for this baby. Clothes, socks, shoes, diapers, furniture etc. We have successfully moved Ashton into his new room and are just putting the finishing touches on the decorating part. I think the last thing we really need is a DOUBLE STROLLER.

And this is where my question comes in. With these two being so close in age I need a good stroller to help us get around, and I have been looking and researching for months. What do you guys recommend? A tandem one or a side by side? Any particular brand?

Please leave comments if you can or email me and let me know what you think.

The other night after his bath, I tied this blanket on Ashton so that he could have a cape. He absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough. I think he makes a pretty cute superhero, but what can I say, I'm his mom :)

Weekend fun

Saturday was a beautiful warm day, so we decided to take Ashton to the zoo. After lunch we loaded up the car and headed out. It was very crowded, but we were lucky to find a parking spot quickly and headed inside to see the animals. Ashton is definitely an animal lover, and gets so excited when he is around them.

There were lots of ducks wondering around and Ashton loved watching them. At one point one of the monkeys climbed to the top of a tree and laid down for a rest. Ashton couldn't stop laughing at him, it was so funny.

Ashton loves bears, and making bear noises. The last time we were at the zoo the polar bears were walking around really close to the window that Ashton was looking through. He loved it. This time he couldn't get enough of the brown bears.
This was one of our last stops, the giraffes. We decided that ice cream sounded good, but we didn't want to wait in line at the zoo. We headed downtown to the 16th street mall which is a whole street blocked off with shops and restaurants. After walking around for a while we hit up the ice cream shop and had a good treat. Ashton loves ice cream so of course he was in heaven. We are looking forward to many more warm days to come, and fun family outings.

My, how you've grown

Here is me at 25 weeks. We are starting to get more and more excited about this summer baby. Ashton is almost moved into his new room and as far as baby boy stuff goes, we've got it covered. The baby is growing and healthy. I have already started having contractions and we are crossing our fingers that I can stay off bed rest at least for a while longer. Ashton is such a good baby to be able to entertain himself when I need to rest and take it easy. I have had ultrasounds at my last 2 appointments, and will continue to do so until the end because my contractions have already changed my cervix a little, and we want to keep a close eye on it. I started pre-term labor with Ashton at 31 weeks and was on bed rest until he was born at 37 weeks. We are praying that this baby will hold out and continue to grow inside until he is truly ready. I'm so thankful for great doctors, technology and medicine. We'll keep you updated on the progress of our baby.

Happy birthday Tommy!

Ashton and I had such a fun day cooking, baking and decorating for Tommy's birthday. We made him a yummy dinner and a German chocolate cake. Ashton loved helping Tommy blow out his candles and of course eat the cake. Happy birthday Tommy!

our weekend

Our weekend consisted of a very sick Bell family. I started off last week with a dose of strep throat which is now a head cold. Tommy ended the week with strep throat and is now starting to feel a little better. Ashton has had a cough, but the dr assured us that it's ok and just to wait it out. Luckily we were able to enjoy conference in our pajamas with medicine, tissues, and soup to get us better. I gave Ashton his first oreo cookie and of course he loved it. Hopefully next weekend will be a little better, and our family with be healthier.

Little climber

No Ashton didn't climb all the way to the top of the stoves but we thought it was funny. He didn't want to let go and kept looking at my sister like "why are you still holding onto me." He loves climbing stairs, on and off furniture and beds. I think it's nice because the more prego I become the less energy I have to haul him around.
