New haircut

My mom was able to cut my hair for me while she was here over spring break. I absolutely love it, and it's still long enough for Ashton to play with. Thanks mom for the cute do!

what a mess

I thought Ashton looked so cute sitting on his goldfish box eating some snacks. After taking a few pictures I decided he would be o.k. while I quickly used the bathroom. As I was washing my hands I heard crumbs spill all over the floor and the crunching of pieces being stepped on. That was the mess I found when I came around the corner. He did help me clean up though, if you count eating the mess cleaning up :)

Happy Easter

It was a quick night of decorating eggs, but we had fun. Ashton loved holding the eggs and trying to eat them. We were excited for church the next day, and we all had new matching easter outfits to wear. We were going to get a cute family picture taken, but Ashton woke up with a bad cold, and we had to postpone the picture. We did have a yummy Easter dinner of ham, turkey, rolls, potato salad, and brown sugar carrots. Ashton especially loved the carrots. Tommy leaves out of town on Wednesday and won't be back until Monday, so it looks like our Sunday family pic will have to wait a few weeks. Hope everyones easter was fun!

Spring break

Tommy, Ashton and I enjoyed a fun visit from my family over their spring break. We were lucky to have good weather (despite the chilly wind) and were able to have a great time. We had a fun bbq, went to the park and did some shopping. Ashton had such a fun time playing with his aunts and uncle. He was so sad for them to leave today. Thanks Mom, Shantel, Shariell, Jameson and Alexa for coming to see us. We love you and can't wait 'til next time!

Long day

Sundays are particularly hard for Ashton due to 2:00 church. He misses his afternoon nap, and with Tommy teaching Sunday school and me teaching Young Womens we both take turns chasing him around. Ashton usually falls asleep on the ride home, but pops his eyes open the second we pull into the garage. This Sunday we were actually able to lay him down on the couch for another 30 minutes or so. He woke up just in time for yummy Sunday dinner, and some episodes of Lost (Tommy and I are watching all the seasons via netflix). He'll go into nursery in August. That's just in time for us to begin our "church adventures" with one month old baby # 2. Oh the joys of parenthood.

Date Night

This is Tommy and I almost 5 years ago when we first started dating. It's actually a picture of a picture and that's why it looks so terrible, but you get the idea. Unfortunately I forgot my camera on Saturday night but it was a fun date night. It was our first time getting a babysitter for Ashton because he's such a great baby that we've just enjoyed bringing him along anywhere we've ventured. I have to say that it really helps being in Young Women's not only because it's such a great time, but I've met and gotten to know such great girls/babysitters. We enjoyed dinner at P.F. Changs with 3 other couples. It was nice to get out just us, and Ashton was such a good little guy for our babysitter. We ended the night with some warm brownies and ice cream, and of course the Tivo'd BYU basketball game. Thanks to everyone for such a great night. Maybe next time I'll remember my camera.

Halfway there

It's hard taking tummy shots by myself, but this is the best I could do for now. (20 weeks)
Today was my 20 week ultrasound and we are happy to say that everything looked great. We are definitely having a baby boy, and can't wait. I had some contractions on Monday and Tuesday, but everything is ok. Hopefully this baby will wait to start giving me trouble. Ashton tried to come at 31 weeks, so we're keeping our fingers (and legs :)) crossed that this little guy will be a little easier.

Mommies little helper!

Ashton loves following me around the house, especially when I'm busy cooking. After I had checked the dinner that I was cooking in the oven I noticed Ashton reaching up to me. No, he didn't want to be held he just wanted to try on the cool gloves that I was using. Those oven mits kept him busy for a good 10 minutes. Maybe I should invest in some puppets.

Haircut

I meant to take some pics of Ashton's haircut earlier today when he was dressed. We just got back from a friends birthday party, and the first thing I did was put his jammies on and messed up his hair. Oh well, I tried to fix it best I could. We just trimmed his hair to kind of even it out. He loves going up and down the stairs so it was a challenge to get him to stop and look at the camera for a second. What a goofy boy.

Bath time

Ashton absolutely loves the bath, shower, pool, anything having to do with water and he loooves it. I am hoping to start him in swim lessons here in about a month, so come summer I should have a little fish on my hands. He got some bath toys for his birthday so now he has even more reasons to stay in the tub. This picture was taken before his haircut, I'll post his new 'do soon.
