Ashton was born exactly one year ago today. He has been such a blessing in our lives and we love him so much. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Ashton is such a happy baby, and always has a smile on his face, and a kiss for anyone who asks. It's amazing how much you can love something. We are having his birthday party tonight and he is so excited. We'll post pictures soon. Happy first birthday Ashton bear! We love you so much! Kisses!

Time for church

It was just the two of us today at church. Tommy was home sick with the cold that Ashton and I had last week. It's definitely going around. I love Ashton's expression in this picture. It's his perma grin/take the dang picture face. This is also me at 17 weeks prego. Ashton is kind of hiding my tummy, and it's starting to show a little bit. The nausea is still hanging around, but the medication I'm on keeps it to a minimum. Hopefully it eases soon. (Oh, and if you blow the picture up, yes Ashton does have a little bloody nose due to a collision with a box a few minutes earlier).

You're invited...

Ashton wanted to invite everyone to his big birthday party next week. We can't believe he is going to be one. The time really has flown by. I enjoyed making these invitations while Ashton watched in his highchair eating his new favorite treat...goldfish. We'll make sure to take lot's of pictures of his big day, and get them posted soon.

Where's Ashton?

O.k. still no camera, but I couldn't pass up this picture. I took it on my phone, so it's not the best but you get the 'picture'.
Ashton loves exploring all over the house. He's usually good at staying out of things he shouldn't get into, but loves opening up cupboards and drawers and seeing what's inside. His favorite cupboard is where I keep all of his things. His food, bibs, sippie cups etc. Last night Tommy and I were watching t.v. and it got pretty quiet. A feeling of fear washed over me as I realized I hadn't heard Tommy close the bathroom door a few minutes before. We have been trying to keep all bathroom doors closed because for some reason the toilet fascinates Ashton. I ran to the open bathroom and it was empty so I continued to search with no luck. Just as I came around the corner I saw a little smile peering out at me from the tiny cupboard Ashton frequently explores. He's never crawled all the way inside until now, and it was quite funny. I guess it's his new hiding spot. I can see a bright future for me in fort and tent building with two little boys... can't wait :)

Our camera has been at Tommy's work for the last few weeks. So unfortunately we have been slacking a little on our blog. Hopefully we'll get it back (he'll remember to bring it home) soon.
