Let it snow, let it snow, let it STOP!

We woke up this morning to more snow. After a beautiful weekend, we thought the days of snow was well in our past, and sunshine was here to stay...Wrong!! These are shots of our driveway, deck and backyard. Hard to believe Tommy shoveled the driveway when he got home from work today. We are suppose to get 6-10 more inches tonight. Hopefully this is the end of it.

Getting "OLD"er

Tommy recently celebrated his 27th birthday. I think the realization that 30 is just around the corner set in this birthday. Instead of disagreeing with my usual jokes about him getting old, he actually agreed with me this year. Ha Ha!
Ashton and I had a fun day of getting gifts ready and making a yummy carrot cake for daddy. Our fun day ended with Tommy's favorite dinner pot stickers and rice. Oh and did I mention the c.d. I bought for him as one of his gifts he randomly decided to buy for himself the night before? Funny huh?

Finally, a crib

Ashton's new bedroom furniture finally arrived. Keep in mind that we ordered the crib and dresser 2 months before he was born, and he is almost 2 months old...you do the math. After our first attempt at picking out and ordering furniture, we were hit with an email one week before we were suppose to get the order informing us that they no longer carried the product!! Ahhhh!! So off we were once again picking out new things. Fortunately it's here and nothing is broken or missing (that would be my luck)!!

Visit from Grandpa!

Recently, we were delighted to have Tom come and visit for a day. He was able to make a quick stop here in Colorado on his way back to Virginia. It was great to see him and Ashton together for the first time. Ashton seemed so content with his Grandpa, and couldn't stop looking up at him. After a nice Sunday dinner, and some good conversation, Ashton and Grandpa took a well deserved cat nap on the couch. What a fun day!!

Ashton and his bear

Wow! I can't believe Ashton is almost two months old. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Smiles are his latest trick, and he loves to give them often. When he is unhappy though, he has this little blue bear that softly plays music. As soon as he hears it he quiets right down. It's amazing, needless to say a life saver sometimes. I can't wait to see what other "tricks" the future brings as our little boy grows and grows!
